Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data the Roses Padel League (“we”, “us”) collects through our website (rosespadelleague.uk) and our mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are the data controller. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@rosespadelleague.uk.

Who this applies to

The league is run for club padel teams in Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. Accounts on the app and website are for team captains and the league committee, who must be aged 18 or over. Players named in a club’s squad may be aged 14 or over under the Competition Regulations, but players do not have accounts: their name and LTA ranking points are entered by their team captain, who is responsible for obtaining that player’s consent and, for a player under 18, the consent of their parent or guardian. Anyone can browse public league information (standings, fixtures, results, rankings) on this website without creating an account or providing any personal data; the app is for signed-in league accounts (captains and the committee).

What we collect

• Waitlist sign-ups (website): your full name, club, city, email address and WhatsApp number, when you choose to submit the waitlist form.
• Team captain & committee accounts (app): your email address and password (for sign-in), your name and phone number, and your club/team details.
• Squad & match data (entered by captains): player names and their LTA ranking points, match line-ups, and match results.

We do not use advertising, third-party analytics or tracking cookies. We do not sell your data. The app stores your sign-in session locally on your device so you stay logged in.

How we use it

• To operate the league: registrations, fixtures, results, standings, rankings and play-offs.
• To send you in-app notifications about your matches (results to confirm, reschedule requests, committee decisions).
• To contact people who join the waitlist about entering the league.

Publicly visible information

Because this is a public sporting competition, some information is visible to everyone by design: team and club names, standings, fixtures, results, and the player names that appear in match line-ups and rankings. Captains who enter player names should ensure their squad members are happy for their name and results to appear publicly.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process participants’ data to perform our agreement to run the league and on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a fair competition. Waitlist sign-ups are processed on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by contacting us.

Where your data is stored

Data is stored using Supabase (a hosted database and authentication service) on servers in the European Union. Waitlist submissions are additionally emailed to us via a form-delivery service (FormSubmit). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

How long we keep it

We keep account and league data for as long as your team takes part in the league and for a reasonable period afterwards for records. Waitlist details are kept until the relevant season has been filled or you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its use. You can delete your account directly in the app (Captain tab → Delete account — see how it works). For anything else, email hello@rosespadelleague.uk and we’ll action it. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

We may update this policy as the league develops. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
